Well before the now famous Muslim-Christian Debates by Ahmad Deedat of South Africa Maulana Rahmatullah was challenging the Christian offensive against Islam in British India. In a debate which took place in January 1854, in Akbarabad in the City of Agra. The Rev C C P Founder (who had written a book in Urdu to cast doubts into the minds of the Muslim) admitted that there were alterations in the Bible in seven or Eight places to which the Maulana commented "If any alteration is proved to have been perpetrated in a particular text, it is considered null and void and invalidated. This and other debates proving Islam to be the true religion was part of the trigger which lead to the Brutal British aggression against the Muslims of India in 1857 in which thousands of Ulemah were killed, Maulana Rahmatullah was at the top of the list, but Allah saved him and took him to Makkah where he established The Madrasa Saulatia...more detail Urdu book'm.kairanvi" Solatia ker

Nawab Muqarrab Khan: Memoirs Jahangir Badsha: On, Sunday, the 16th, I marched from delhi, and on Friday the 21st, halted in the pargana of Kairana, This pargana is the native place of Muqarrab K. Its climate is equable and its soil good. . Muqarrab had made buildings and gardens there. As I had 'often heard praise of his garden, I wished much to see it. On Saturday, the 22nd, I and my ladies were much pleased in going round it Truly, it is a very fine and enjoyable garden. Within a masonry (pukhta, pucca) wall, flower-beds have been laid out to the extent of 140 bighas. In the middle of the garden he has constructed a pond, in length 220 yards, and in breadth 200 yards. In the middle of the pond is a miih-tiib terrace (for use in moonlight) 22 yardssquare. There is no kind of tree belonging to a warm or cold climate that is not to be found in it. Of fruit-bearing trees belonging to Persia I saw green pistachio-trees, and .cypresses of graceful form, such as I have never seen before. I ordered the cypresses to be counted, and they came to 300. All round the pond suitable buildings have been begun and are in progress.( Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri or memoirs of Jahangir,Tanslated by Alexander Rogers, Atlantic publisher, Drya ganj, New delhi-2, page112, v2) (more detail in Hindi Article's) (more detail in urdu Article's)

Jamil Naqsh Kairanvi (Pakistan) His persona is reclusive, elusive, almost solitary and his work - it is exclusive, abstruse and almost rarefied. Jamil Naqsh, an enigmatic artist, lives his life on his own terms, calls his own shots, does exactly what he wants to do and in doing so maintains his position as one of Pakistan's leading artists. A brilliant contemporary painter, his success story is an amalgam of immense talent, creativity, labour, single-mindedness and of course strategy. The Naqsh mystique has been engineered and it is very much there. A ploy it may be but it is a charming one at that, for it adds that something extra to his artistic genius, shifting his work to a much higher plane.

This success story unfolded in the peaceable, romantic environs of distant Kairana in the U.P. Province of India, where the young artist was born in 1939, in a cultured Muslim zamindar family. Young Jamil was nurtured in a climate of creativity, where artistic, musical and literary pursuits were freely practiced. His childhood memories are entwined amidst family pets - horses, cats, pigeons and a favourite goat - kite flying, chess, shikaar, Persian and Urdu poetry, classical music together with prayers and fasting. At the age of nine, in 1947, the trauma of displacement that came with partition hit the growing child harder than most others. Having lost his mother when he was five, Jamil migrated to Pakistan with his elder siblings, but his father remained behind - never to meet again. Bereft of parental moorings, unsettled Jamil trekked back home in his early teens, perhaps to recapture a lost childhood - but it was not to be. For two years he journeyed through Chittagong to Calcutta, Khatmandu to Colombo, Peshawar to Karachi. In 1953 his journey ended in Lahore, where he joined the Mayo School of Arts & Crafts. Mayo School of Arts & Crafts. As a student of Mayo, the young Jamil got his first taste of modern art. Pioneer modernist Shakir Ali had just arrived in Lahore after his sojourn abroad. His concepts on rudiments of contemporary art were a breath of fresh air for the young artists in the making, Jamil Naqsh including. However, keeping in mind the traditional ambience of Kairana, the artist's childhood home, his love for the classical and the oriental in arts was a very natural preference. At the Mayo school he was introduced to the art of miniature painting courtesy, the renowned Ustad Haji Sheriff. Soon Jamil Naqsh abandoned his study courses at Mayo to work full time with Ustad Sheriff. Thus began his grounding in this discipline. Working from morning to dusk he imbibed technique, methodology, and unique intricacies peculiar to Mughal miniature painting. At this juncture, developments in modern art in Pakistan were rapid, popular and eagerly accepted. The synthesis of abstraction and finesse of miniature apparent in Jamil's work now probably had its origin in that early educative phase when he was learning in a climate of twin exposures. Album painting and non-objective art are mutually contradictory but Jamil Naqsh borrowed the best of both to create his own aesthetic vocabulary, which then became his signature style.

Hakim Kairanvi (Film industury,,hair dresser & Hero--grate freind editor 'sair') (more detail in Hindi Article's)
Hakim kairanvi son alim hakeem:: Sanjay Dutt to Suniel Shetty to Kajol, everyone's got a snip from his magic scissors. Meet Aalim Hakim, the hairstylist Bollywood stars rely on for a bold new look. Hakim has also become the undisputed king of goatees. Predicting the trends of the near future, he says: "Long hair that will cover the ears." Sure enough, some of the biggest stars of the Hindi film industry were present as Hakim launched his second salon in the posh Bandra area. And it was no surprise that everyone, from Sanjay and Suniel to Anil Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Nigam and Salman Khan visited the salon to thank and congratulate him. "I hate doing the same old film styling and that's why I prefer giving them a fresh new look," Hakim, whose father Hakim Kairanvi was the stylist of Amitabh Bachchan, said. His clientele reads like a who's who of Bollywood - Sanjay, Ajay Devgan, Anil, Suniel, Salman, Mahesh Manjrekar, Hrithik Roshan, Adnan Sami, Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Bajpai and Ashutosh Rana. Recently Ajay Devgan was in the news for his new look and credit for that goes to Hakim. "For Bhoot, I had given Ajay a coloured French beard and made him look like Hugh Grant," he says. And that's not all. For Harry Baweja's film, he gave Ajay the George Michael type of look. "Conceptualising a new look involves a lot of homework. When I design hair, I keep it futuristic because films are released many days after we cut the hair and it should not look old fashioned. You can't just go about giving a Hollywood look to a Bollywood movie. You have to take into account the background of the story and the character," he adds. For example, Sanjay and Suniel went through two different time phases in Rudraksh. "Their mannerisms, look and acting varied accordingly. In some portions, you will see them sporting a rugged, messy look while later they look suave and Western." Hakim started playing with hair at the young age of 16, when he used to give cuts to his friends in Mithibai College in Mumbai. Once he perfected the art, he graduated into doing hairstyles for film stars. How does he keep himself updated on the latest styles? "I attend conferences, but the secret is that we Indians mostly follow the fashion statements made by black Americans. Whites will hardly play around with hair or clothes. But blacks try out a lot to stand out and to improvise on their looks," says the stylist. "The first star that I cut hair for was Vivek. We're FYJC (first year junior college) friends and used to act in plays together. Now I do his hair all the time. So far, the only actress whose hair I've been cutting for the past two years is Kajol - that short look. Actors come to me telling me that their hair is scanty; that they want it to look like a bouquet!" he smiles. Suniel, who was present at the function, says: "We're always joking that as 90 percent of the actors are bald, he has something to play with in my hair. Aalim looks into your eyebrows and moustache too. He's very creative and a good soul." Aalim thinks Kamal Hasan is the best actor ever and never shies away from donning different looks. "Kamal Hasan is a visionary and is way ahead of his contemporaries. Observe his roles and looks in Nayakan, Chachi 420 and others...He knows how to package his experimentation." --more detail click here)
